TQM Hospital Safety Officer
Job Summary
Assumes responsibility for ensuring the management of the hospital safety program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in TQM Systems Control, Systems Improvement and Staff Development Activities.
To be the leader for safety in the hospital.
Develop a safety program for the hospital targeting patients, visitors and staff.
To monitor hazards in the workplace.
To ensure that hazards are dealt with appropriately by a strategy of tolerating, treating, transferring and terminating.
To implement risk management.
To ensure that a system of reporting and reviewing is in place.

Performance of all existing duties of a Consultant in the Department of Dental Services.
Contributes to the administrative and organizational activities of the Department and the Hospital Program.

Medical staff, for the purpose of the referral of patients requiring specialized pediatric dental services.
Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases and abnormalities in children. This will encompass all medical, surgical, restorative and preventive treatment of oral diseases, injuries and deficiencies that come within the framework of dentistry for children, as commonly practiced by the profession.
